Your Frequently Asked Questions About Auto Repair Services Answered Here!
Q: How do I file a claim?
The first thing you’ll want to do is contact your insurance company and report the accident. Let them know that you would like to get your work done at Lone Star Collision and their representatives will guide you through the process.
Q: Should I be driving my car after an accident?
It all depends on the damage, where the damage happened, and the extent of it. Chances are if you get in your car and it feels things are misaligned, you feel the tires rubbing up against something, you hear strange noises, etc., you can call us and we’ll arrange one of our 24/7 tow trucks to pick up your vehicle.
Q: How does your deductible assistance work?
Lone Star Collision Center assists drivers with their deductible in many ways. Depending on your policy, you might have a $500 or $1,000 deductible. The insurance company expects you to cover that initial amount before their coverage kicks in. If your deductible is at $500, Lone Star Collision Center will cover 50% of that. So that means you’ll only have to kick in $250. With a higher deductible of $1,000, we put in 25% of that. So instead of having to fork out $1,000, you only pay $750.
Q: Are you able to pick up my vehicle or do I have to drive it in?
We offer a free 24-7 tow truck. So whether your vehicle is in Canutillo or Northeast El Paso, Lone Star Collision Center will pick it up and bring it to the shop for free. Just give us a call and let us know when and where we can pick it up.
Q: What is an appearance allowance?
Lone Star Collision can work with insurance companies to grant an appearance allowance. So let’s say you were in an auto accident and the insurance company grants an amount and a certain percentage of that amount is for parts. So any moldings, emblems, mirrors, etc. might be refunded to you if you sign off on the damage. This, of course, depends on the kind of damage and the extent of it. This is treated on a case-by-case basis.
Q: Does my insurance company cover PDR services?
Usually, yes. Most insurance companies will approve PDR services. If your car has substantial hail damage or minor dings, give us a call for a free estimate. We’ll work with your insurance company to get your car repaired.
Q: Do you offer rental cars while my vehicle is being repaired?
Lone Star Collision works closely with insurance companies in order to get you assistance with a temporary form of transportation.
Q: Is there a warranty for the repairs done at your shop?
Yes. We offer a lifetime labor warranty for repair work. Paint jobs have a one year warranty.
